Descrição - The OsteoArthritis Research Society International (OARSI) is the premier international organization for scientists and health care professionals focused on the prevention and treatment of osteoarthritis through the promotion and presentation of research, education and the worldwide dissemination of new knowledge.
The purpose of the OARSI Clinical Research Award is to recognize excellence in clinical research related to osteoarthritis. Research domains include, but are not limited to, areas such as epidemiology and health-services research, clinical outcomes, translational research, and therapeutics, encompassing all phases of research having clinical implications.
The purpose of the OARSI Basic Science Research Award is to promote advancement in basic research in the field of osteoarthritis. Research targets include all areas of basic science with relevance to osteoarthritis. Both Clinical and Basic science research may be in a number of Specialty disciplines having an interest in osteoarthritis.
Data Limite - Deadline for Submission of Nominations: January 15th, 2013.
Elegibilidade - Any individual(s) who consider themselves as having made an outstanding contribution to osteoarthritis research within the last five years may apply for the Awards.

Premiação - Awardees will receive a $2000 honorarium, travel expenses (up to $1000) to the Congress, complimentary registration and three night's hotel accommodations.
Requisitos - Applicants for this award should be willing to prepare a paper for presentation at the OARSI World Congress in Philadelphia, PA in April 2013.
Restrições - Current members of the OARSI Board of Directors are not eligible for the Award. Nominations can only be submitted electronically for one individual, for one award.
Forma de Solicitação - The supporting documents submitted for the award can be in the form of published scientific papers or papers which have been accepted for publication in an international scientific journal. Entries for the OARSI Award shall be submitted electronically. Applicants will be required to upload the following: CV, letter of recommendation, and summary of work.
